The painting and clean up at the apartment went very well. Thank you to all who came and dedicated their free time to help us move towards achieving our goal of 1000$ for the boys at Pine Haven. We earned $300 (all of which will go to the Pine Haven Center) in 3 1/2 hours of dedicated work from our core team.
This event is crucially important for the St Vincent de Paul Society in order for us to raise the $1,000 for the Pine Haven Boys. Our task is to help clean up an apartment so that tenants can move in the following week. Jobs will include: washing windows, vacuming, dusting, painting, etc. This is likely the only event for which I can promise food! :D I know the owner of the apartment personally (he's my grampa) and I know that we will be treated well (as all favorite grandchildren are.) He has aready offered to provide us with snacks and drinks and if we can rouse a crowd of at least 5-6 people, he is willing to donate $300 to our cause! It is very important that we are able to assemble a group to go down to Auburn in order to help us to reach our goal of $1,000 for the Pine Haven Boys. I think that with some food and jams we can make this a really fun fundraiser and I really hope we are able to get a big showing!
